Information
ZFEN Simulator: Full case simulation using ZFEN simulator with 1:1 training sessions
3 trainees per 45-minute sessions from:
08:00-17:45
Instructors: Jason Lee and the Cook Medical Team
This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of implanting the commercially available ZFEN device from Cook Medical. This is a hands-on course on a high-fidelity simulator that accurately reflects the knobology and steps of insertion, partial deployment, branch cannulation, and completion of the steps to successfully place a standard ZFEN device. The course director helped develop the simulator along with experts from Cook Medical and has implanted several hundred in the USA over the past decade. Learners can bring their staff or junior partners to see the team's steps to deployment of ZFEN. The high-fidelity simulation allows for an accurate representation of the technique and can be helpful for experienced and newer vascular interventionalists.
A maximum of 3 participants can take part in each 45-minute course, which will be repeated throughout the day on Wednesday and Thursday. One-on-one interaction with expert faculty and key Cook personnel will enhance the course. The course duration is 45 minutes.
